Cutting-Edge Technology 🌊
I recently visited the MIT Sea Grant
College Program facility located in Cambridge — a partnership between
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
and the National Sea Grant College Program that promotes the conservation
and sustainable development of marine resources through research, education,
and outreach.
With focus areas including Healthy
Coastal Ecosystems, Resilient Communities and Economies, Sustainable Fisheries
and Aquaculture, and Environmental Literacy and Workforce Development, MIT Sea
Grant is advancing innovation that supports Massachusetts’ blue economy.
Thank you to Dr. Michael Triantafyllou,
Dr. Juliet Simpson, Ansel Garcia-Langley, and the entire MIT Sea Grant team for
an insightful visit and for leading projects like the Architected Reefs
initiative, where science and technology come together to strengthen our ocean
ecosystems.
