longtime readers, Jennifer Orlando, middle, was awarded First R’s Frances
Ferrante Award for volunteering her time to read to students. Here, Orlando is
shown accepting a citation for her efforts from state Senate Minority Leader
Bruce Tarr, R-Gloucester, left, and state Rep. Ann-Margaret Ferrante,
D-Gloucester. The award is named after Ferrante’s mother, who worked as a
