to the Cock Crowing Contest at the Topsfield Fair 2025
Earlier this month, I had a great time joining my fellow
judges for the Fair’s Annual Cock Crowing Contest — one of the Fair’s most fun
and time-honored traditions!
Congratulations to Judge Patton, whose rooster Egg (Ed)
Sheeran took home first place with 31 crows, and to Senator
Joan B. Lovely, whose talented rooster earned second place with 21
crows!
It’s always a joy to take part in this spirited competition
and celebrate the community, creativity, and camaraderie that make the
Topsfield Fair such a beloved local tradition.
