Save-the-Date: NOV 5TH | Film Screening & Community Conversation on Plastic Waste
Save-the-Date: NOV 5TH | Film Screening & Community Conversation on Plastic Waste
Hosted by the Interfaith Committee of the Cape Ann Climate Coalition (CACC)
Join us Wednesday, November 5 at the
@shalinliuperformancecenter in Rockport for a special screening of
award-winning Plastic People Documentary —
directed by Ben Addelman and co-directed
by science journalist Ziya Tong (featured in photo) — a powerful and
eye-opening look at the global challenge of plastic pollution.
🕕 Doors Open: 6:15 PM
🎥 Program Begins: 7:00 PM
💬 Followed by: Panel discussion
& Q&A with local leaders on how we can reduce waste, recycle smarter,
and take action in our communities.
This event is free and open to the
public — no registration required!
The film is sobering and deeply
thought-provoking — and post-film discussion will focus on solutions: reducing
plastic use, expanding composting and recycling, and rethinking what we throw
away.
🧾 A “Reducing Your Plastic
Footprint” handout will be available at the event and later on the CACC website
— where community members can continue sharing new ideas to help protect our
environment.
🚗 Parking Tips:
Please carpool if possible | Meters are
enforced until 6 PM | Avoid resident-only spots to prevent tickets
