This year’s theme for Massachusetts STEM
Week is “STEM Starts Now” — a reminder that it’s never too early or too late to
explore science, technology, engineering, and math.
The Gloucester Marine Genomics
Institute, Inc.'s Gloucester Biotechnology Academy is putting that message into
action.
The Academy opens doors for students
from all backgrounds to launch rewarding careers in the life sciences — no
prior experience or college degree required — and thanks to their commitment to
access, tuition and fees are completely waived for all participants.
I’ve had the privilege of visiting the
Academy during past MA STEM Week celebrations to see firsthand the innovation,
dedication, and opportunity that thrives there thanks to the passion and
dedication of the GMGI team.
