Greater Boston Food Bank Tour

Thank you to The Greater Boston Food Bank for inviting our office on a recent ‘hard hat tour’ of their Cold Storage Expansion project—the largest investment in GBFB’s facility since it was built 15 years ago!

This initiative, funded by state grants secured in 2021, is part of a multi-pronged effort to provide more perishable items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, to the 1 in 3 people who continue to struggle with food insecurity in our region.

By enhancing their cold storage capacity, they will be better able to serve the 600 local food distribution partners in Eastern MA that rely on GBFB for the food they provide, including The Open Door.

Flag Day 2024

Happy Flag Day 2024

“The whole inspiration of our life as a nation flows out from the waving folds of this banner.” ~Author Unknown

On this day in 1777, the Second Continental Congress passed a resolution to adopt a United States flag.

Although the flag has seen alterations over the years since its conception, it has always served as a constant reminder that our great nation is a free nation and will continue to be a source of pride as our country moves forward.

I hope we all take a few moments to reflect on this great nation and the men and women who risk their lives to ensure the flag continues to fly as a symbol of freedom and democracy.
