New Geothermal Project at Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School
It was a pleasure to join students, educators, and local
leaders at the Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School for the
recent ribbon cutting of their new geothermal project — a major step forward in
energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.
This state-of-the-art system replaces outdated gas-fired
boilers with clean, renewable geothermal technology, improving ventilation, air
quality, and long-term sustainability across the campus.
I was honored to present an official joint citation from the
Massachusetts State Senate, on behalf of myself and Senator Joan B. Lovely,
recognizing Essex Tech’s leadership in embracing innovation and preparing the
next generation to meet our energy and climate challenges.
Congratulations to Superintendent Riccio, the Essex Tech
community, and all who made this transformative project a success!
