Gloucester Domestic Violence Awareness Month Flag Raising Ceremony
Last week, I had the honor of joining
local officials, members of law enforcement, community advocates, and students
and staff of Gloucester Public Schools outside City Hall in Gloucester for the
Domestic Violence Awareness Month Flag Raising Ceremony.
It was a privilege to present official
citations to the Gloucester Coalition for the Prevention of Domestic Abuse in
recognition of a quarter-century of tireless work to eliminate domestic
violence, support survivors, and strengthen our community.
A special thank you to the Gloucester
High School students who stood proudly wearing purple “End Domestic Violence”
shirts and to the many individuals and organizations like HAWC who continue to
offer hope, help, and healing.
Together, we reaffirm our commitment to
ensuring every person can live free from fear and with dignity. 💜
