📢 massDOT Alert Regarding Daily Lane Closures on Route 1 (Lafayette Road) in Salisbury 📢
🚨Daily lane closures in place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning Wednesday, July 22 through Friday, August 7 🚨
SALISBURY - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing is announcing temporary lane closures on Route 1 (Lafayette Road) between Allen Drive to north of Kendell Lane. Daily lane closures will be in place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. beginning Wednesday, July 22 and continuing through Friday, August 7. The closures are necessary to allow crews to safely and efficiently perform full depth roadway reconstruction.
During this construction operation traffic on Route 1 northbound and southbound will be maintained by an alternating traffic pattern.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.
The schedule for this work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.
