Congratulations to Chief Mark McCoy on being sworn in as the new Chief of the Manchester by the Sea Police Department!
Chief McCoy has dedicated his entire law enforcement career to serving the Manchester community, rising through the ranks with professionalism, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to public safety.
His extensive experience leading department operations, supervising officers, and advancing professional training has prepared him well for this important role.
As one chapter closes with Chief Todd Fitzgerald's well-earned retirement after 35 years of service, another begins with a leader who knows the department, understands the community, and is ready to build on a strong foundation of excellence.
I was honored to have joined Chief McCoy, his family, colleagues, Rep. Dru Tarr, local officials and members of the community to celebrate this milestone at his recent swearing in ceremony which took place on Monday, July 6th.
I wish him every success as he leads the department into the future, and I thank all of the officers of the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department for their continued dedication to keeping our communities safe.
