This morning, Wednesday, June 17th, I shared the following remarks during a press conference with Governor Maura Healey, MassDOT and the Massachusetts State Police regarding the announcement of a series of new measures being rolled out across the state to prevent future wrong way driving tragedies.
We say to those we have lost in wrong-way driving tragedies: from the grief of your loss comes a limitless opportunity to protect public safety across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
We will never forget why we are doing this. We will never stop working to prevent these tragedies, and we will continue seeking every opportunity for partnership, innovation, and improvement as this system evolves.
Together, we have a collective responsibility to make our roads safer, save lives, and honor those whose memories inspire this effort each and every day.
