It was an honor to join the Ipswich Select Board in recognizing an incredible Ipswich success story — the 50th anniversary of hometown rock band The Fools.
Formed right here in Ipswich in 1976, The Fools have spent five decades bringing their unique blend of music, humor, and unforgettable performances to audiences across New England and beyond. From their iconic parody “Psycho Chicken” to countless shows and memories created along the way, their creativity and connection to the community have made a lasting impact.
I was proud to present citations recognizing The Fools’ remarkable milestone and celebrating their enduring legacy as ambassadors of Ipswich’s music and culture.
Congratulations to Mike Girard, Rich Bartlett, Eric Adamson, Stacey Pedrick, and the entire Fools family — here’s to 50 years of keeping audiences laughing, singing, and rocking! 🎶
