Supporting Seniors & Strengthening Our Community

Supporting Seniors & Strengthening Our Community

It was an honor to visit the Ipswich Council on Aging and present a Senate citation recognizing the incredible work of the Community Cupboard — a vital resource helping Ipswich seniors access fresh groceries and essential food items.

Created through a grant from the Massachusetts Councils on Aging, the Community Cupboard is an outstanding example of neighbors helping neighbors. Since opening, it has supported hundreds of Ipswich seniors while working to reduce the stigma often associated with food assistance.

This achievement is made possible because of the dedication of COA staff, volunteers, and community partners including The Open Door, Three Sisters, @kinship_farm , and Zumis who help ensure seniors have access to the resources they need.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed time, generosity, and compassion to make the Community Cupboard a success!
