World Suicide Prevention Day 2025
World Suicide Prevention Day | 09.10.2025
Suicide remains one of the most urgent public health
challenges of our time, with devastating impacts on families, communities, and
society as a whole. Every life lost to suicide is one too many — and every life
can be saved.
World Suicide Prevention Day, observed each year on
September 10, was first established in 2003 by the International Association
for Suicide Prevention and the World Health Organization. This day serves as a
global call to action: to raise awareness, break down stigma, and remind us
that suicide is preventable.
If you are struggling — whether with mental health,
emotional distress, substance use, or simply the weight of daily challenges —
help is available.
You are never alone.
