9/11: A National Day of Service and Remembrance
9/11: A National Day of Service & Remembrance
By federal law, September 11th is recognized as a National
Day of Service and Remembrance — a lasting tribute to honor the victims of that
tragic day, as well as the countless heroes who responded with courage and
selflessness.
Today, 24 years later, we remember the lives lost, honor the
service of so many, and reflect on how our nation rose from tragedy with
resilience, unity, and an enduring belief in freedom.
Today let us shine a light, do a good deed and let the
lessons from that day in our collective history inspire us to build a better
tomorrow.
