Homestead Act Seminars Across the District
Over the past few weeks, my Senior District Director Mary Ann Nay partnered with Eileen Duff, Register of Deeds, Essex South and the Southern Essex Registry of Deeds team in presenting Property Fraud Watch and Homestead Act seminars across 12 communities throughout our district.
Presenters Coco Alinsug and Jose Claudio provided invaluable guidance on how property owners can protect themselves by registering and receiving email notifications if someone tries to file against their property.
Nearly 180 participants attended in the following communities: Rowley, Wenham, Topsfield, Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea, West Newbury, Middleton, Boxford, Groveland, Georgetown, Essex, and Newbury—learning important tools to prevent fraud and safeguard their homes.
