The Green Team: 24-25 School Year Award Winners
Congratulations to the Green Teams 2024-2025 School Year Award Winners recognized from our district for for outstanding environmental stewardship and educational activities!
The Green Team is a statewide initiative sponsored by the EEA and MassDEP, empowering students and teachers to take meaningful action in their schools and communities to protect our environment.
MassDEP recognized 94 Green Teams across the Commonwealth with Green Team Awards for their exceptional environmental stewardship. This school year also marked a milestone—with 475 classrooms participating statewide, making it the highest registration in the program’s history.
Congratulations to the students from Francis T. Bresnahan Elementary School (Grades K-5) in the City of Newburyport, taught by Katara Harding, for being one of only 24 schools recognized for "going above and beyond" in their area of focus.
In addition, another impressive 62 Green Team classes for the 2024-2025 school year
received a "Bee the Change" pollinator seed packet for each participating student.

🐝 North Andover Middle School – Erien Gordon (Grades 6–8)
