Welcoming Chief Shamshak Jr.
It was an honor joining the Essex Board of Selectmen and local, state, and law enforcement officials for the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Thomas Shamshak Jr. as the new Chief of Police for the Essex Police Department.
Held at Essex Public Safety Building, the event was a fitting tribute to Chief Shamshak’s dedication to public safety and his deep ties to the community—including heartfelt remarks from his father, retired former Chief of Police Thomas Shamshak Sr.
Congratulations to Chief Shamshak - I look forward to working with him to support the important mission of protecting and serving the people of Essex!
