Ipswich Shellfish Advisory Board Meeting
The National Shellfish Sanitation Program is the federal and state cooperative program charged with the sanitary control of shellfish products.
This local advisory board plays a critical role in the conservation and regulation of the town’s shell fishing flats and in fostering open dialogue between the town’s government and its shell fishing community.
The fishing industry in our district and the broader Commonwealth is a vital aspect of our economy and culture, which is why I have always remained an advocate for the state’s fishing fleet.
This meeting was an important opportunity to discuss our continued efforts in protecting our fishing industry's livelihood.
