I have always valued a strong partnership with the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts (PFFM) and remain committed to supporting the critical work our firefighters do every day to keep our communities safe.
We had important discussions on several key issues, including:
Strengthening the PFAS Bill—which I was proud to fight for—and finding ways to build on its protections.
Expanding the cancer presumption look-back period from 5 to 10 years, to better support those impacted by job-related illness.
Addressing MBTA 3A and impacts on fire safety and the need for increased staffing.
Finding Onsite Academy.
These conversations are crucial.
Our firefighters need our full support—and I will keep working to ensure they have the resources, protections, and recognition they deserve.
