Watershed Associations Tackling Environmental Resilience Coalitions Lobby Day

Last week, the Watershed Associations Tackling Environmental Resilience (WATER) Coalitions hosted a lobby day at the State House bringing together watershed organizations from across Massachusetts to advocate for vital environmental priorities—including the drought preparedness bill and funding for MVP / restoration programs.
 
Led by the Ipswich River Watershed Association (IRWA) and the Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA), this effort highlighted the importance of building environmental resilience and protecting our natural resources - now and in the future.

I was honored to share remarks during the event and speak to the impact these issues have on the communities in our district.

Following their advocacy event, I invited the IRWA team to attend a special tour of the Senate Chamber—it is always a pleasure connecting with dedicated, passionate advocates who are working hard to make Massachusetts more resilient for generations to come.
