Before summer's end, I had the pleasure of joining the Topsfield Fair Volunteer Recognition Picnic, an opportunity to gather with the many volunteers who give their time and energy to make the Fair possible each year.
During the picnic, I was also pleased to present Donna Bartlett with an official Massachusetts Senate Citation, alongside my fellow Senate & House colleagues, in recognition of her many years of volunteer service and dedication to the Topsfield Fair. Donna’s commitment is a wonderful example of the countless hours that volunteers give to help carry on this longstanding tradition.
With the Topsfield Fair opening in just three days, I’ve been thinking about all of the volunteers who devote countless hours throughout the year and especially during Fair week to help bring the Fair to life.
Thank you to Donna and to all of the volunteers who give their time, talents, and enthusiasm year after year. Your dedication is an important part of what makes the Topsfield Fair such a special community tradition. I look forward to seeing everyone back at the Fair this Friday!
