Ahead of the start of the new school year, my Senior District Director, Mary Ann Nay, joined the incredible team at Community Giving Tree in Boxford to help fill brand-new backpacks with school supplies for students in need throughout the area.
This year, approximately 2,500 backpacks were filled for elementary through high school students, making sure that every child in need has the supplies they need to begin the school year ready to learn.
It is remarkable to see how much this effort has grown over the years.
What began as a community initiative has become a tremendous operation, made possible by dedicated volunteers working in well-organized shifts and the many generous donors who provide the supplies and support.
Thank you to Community Giving Tree, the volunteers, donors, and everyone who helps make this important program possible. It was great to see this effort continuing again this year and to see so many people working together to support local students.
