TARR IN THE NEWS | 11.18.25
By Ethan Forman | Gloucester Daily Times
EXCERPT BELOW:
"The dramatic retelling of the Battle of Gloucester is scheduled for June 20-21, 2026, nearly 251 years after it was fought on Aug. 8-9, 1775.
Many of those who were battle-tested and instrumental in the success of last summer’s 250th Battle of Bunker Hill reenactment, which drew thousands to Stage Fort Park, are back.
Only this time, Stage Fort Park won’t be standing in for Charlestown, it will instead serve as a stage to commemorate a skirmish fought right here on sea and on land.
Local involvement again includes Brent “Ringo” Tarr, who oversaw the summer’s event logistics, and his brother, state Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr, R-Gloucester.
Both happen to be descendants of a militiaman who fought at the Battle of Bunker Hill."
