Today, May 19th, the Massachusetts Senate begins consideration of the 1158 amendments which have been filed for the $63.3 billion FY27 Budget Proposal of the Senate Committee on Ways and Means.

The Senate Republican Caucus has filed 234 targeted amendments to address major issues affecting Massachusetts.

These include:

1.) Affordability & Cost of Living
2.) Transparency & Accountability
3.) Competitiveness & Out-Migration
4.) Anemic Local Aid
5.) Maintaining Fiscal Stability & Discipline

The state’s annual budget must do more than allocate funding.

It must set a long-term course that strengthens the Commonwealth’s foundation for growth, opportunity, and fiscal responsibility.

Our Senate GOP Caucus Members will be highlighting each of our key FY'27 budget priorities in depth through a series of videos across our social media platforms.

From affordability and tax relief to transparency, education funding, energy costs, and competitiveness, our members will be speaking directly to the issues we believe matter most to the people of Massachusetts.

Stay tuned throughout the course of the evening as we share our perspectives and priorities for the FY'27 state budget.
