Last week, the Senate officially approved its version of the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget, and it now must make it through joint conference committee in order to reconcile differences with the House version.
I am pleased to have worked with our legislative delegation and partners in municipal government, school districts, and public service organizations to bring focus in the state's Fiscal Year 2027 Budget to some very important local priorities, and to deliver state investment to those priorities.
From strengthening education and public safety to supporting infrastructure and community programs, this budget reflects a shared commitment to the things that matter most to the people we serve.
As the final version of the FY27 Budget takes shape in the weeks ahead, I will continue to advocate for these critical local initiatives and I remain hopeful they will be retained to assist in continuing to move our communities forward.
