Next week the Senate will begin debate on our $63.3 billion state budget for Fiscal Year 2027, an increase of $2.3 billion over Fiscal Year 2026.
Senators have offered 1158 amendments to the budget bill and we are scheduled to start the first of several days of debate on Tuesday, May 19th.
On Monday, May 18th, myself and Senate Ways & Means Chair Michael Rodrigues will kick off the FY'27 Budget proceedings with a colloquy.
