🚨 Daily shoulder closures in place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. effective immediately, Monday, October 19, through Friday, November 6 🚨
SALSIBURY – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing temporary shoulder closures along Route 1A (North End Boulevard) between Beach Road and the New Hampshire State Line. Daily shoulder closures will be in place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. effective immediately, Monday, October 19 through Friday, November 6.
These closures are necessary to allow crews to safely and efficiently perform crosswalk improvements at 17 locations along Route 1A. Two-way traffic is anticipated to be maintained throughout the duration of the work. Parking in various areas may be prohibited for periods of time.
This work is being performed under a District-wide sidewalk contract.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.
