It was a pleasure to take part in "Meet Your Neighbor Week" at the Rowley Public Library's 'Happy to Chat' bench!
Initiatives like this create meaningful opportunities to connect with neighbors, exchange ideas, and strengthen the relationships that make our towns such special places to live and work.
The Happy to Chat bench, gifted to the library by the Rotary Club of Ipswich-Rowley, is a simple but powerful reminder that sometimes all it takes to build a stronger community is making time to sit down, start a conversation, and get to know one another.
Thank you to the Rowley Public Library Board of Trustees, Chair Katie Chattan, library staff, participants, neighbors who came to chat, and everyone who helped organize this wonderful initiative.
I appreciate the opportunity to be part of a program that encourages connection, combats loneliness, and reminds us of the importance of being good neighbors.
