Recently, I joined Mayor Paul Lundberg, City of Gloucester, local and state officials, and community partners in Gloucester for the ribbon cutting celebrating the city’s new Downtown Wayfinding System.
These new signs will make it easier for residents and visitors to navigate downtown, find public parking, and discover the many businesses, attractions, waterfront destinations, and public spaces that make Gloucester such a special place.
The first phase of this project includes five large directional signs and a district identifier, with maps showing destinations both within walking distance and throughout the city. It is a practical investment that will support Gloucester’s downtown, strengthen the visitor experience, and help people make the most of everything our city has to offer.
Thank you to the City of Gloucester, Community Development Director Alex Koppelman, and everyone who helped bring this project to fruition. I look forward to seeing the next phases of this important downtown improvement.
