🔥 Fire Prevention Week 2026 | October 4th–10th 🔥
Governor Maura Healey has declared October 4–10 as Fire Prevention Week in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Fire Prevention Week is an opportunity to focus on simple steps we can all take to prevent fires and keep our families, homes, and communities safe.
This year’s theme, “Charge Into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower,” highlights an increasingly important fire-safety issue: the safe use and charging of lithium-ion batteries.
From phones and laptops to e-bikes, scooters, and power tools, lithium-ion batteries are part of everyday life. Taking a few simple precautions can help reduce the risk of a battery fire.
This week, take a moment to review your family’s fire-safety practices and learn more about safe battery use.
