IMAGINING GLOUCESTER'S FUTURE: RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
It was a pleasure to join the ribbon cutting celebrating Imagining Gloucester’s Future, a new public art initiative bringing creativity and color to Main Street.
Eight local and regional artists have transformed storefront windows throughout downtown into vibrant murals inspired by Gloucester’s identity, community, fishing heritage, tourism, and unique coastal landscape.
Projects like this showcase the incredible creativity that exists in our community while giving residents and visitors another reason to explore and experience downtown Gloucester in a new way.
Congratulations to the artists and to Miranda Aisling, Arts, Culture & Events Coordinator for the City of Gloucester, on bringing this project to life, and thank you to all of the partners who helped make it possible.
The murals will be on display through the week of November 9, so I encourage everyone to take a walk down Main Street and see them for yourself!
