'Essex Town Meeting approves override request'

"State Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr, R-Gloucester, updated meeting attendees about the status of the Massachusetts budget. State lawmakers are developing a budget aimed at getting more money into the hands of local school districts, he said.
“We are working very hard to increase the per-pupil number,” Tarr said. “It’s great to see so many people who care about this town.”"
