Group Insurance Commission (GIC) Budget Shortfall Remarks

 



Today the Senate considered an urgent bill to ensure stability for the state’s Group Insurance Commission (GIC), which provides health insurance to public employees across Massachusetts. 

While that stability is important, it’s also important to understand why it was in jeopardy to begin with.
