Celebrating Service: National Police Week

This week, from May 11 to May 17, we observe National Police Week — a time to honor the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of law enforcement officers across our Commonwealth and nation.

Established in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy, this week includes Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15, a solemn occasion to remember those who have fallen in the line of duty.

Let us take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to the men and women who serve and protect our communities every day. Their unwavering commitment ensures our safety and upholds the rule of law.

As we reflect on their service, may we also remember the families of fallen officers, whose sacrifices are immeasurable.

To all our law enforcement officers: thank you for your service, your bravery, and your dedication to justice. We stand with you and honor your contributions not just during National Police Week, but always.
