Fiscal Year 2026 Budget Debate: My Opening Remarks
Yesterday the Senate began deliberations of the Fiscal Year 2026 state budget, as proposed by the Senate Committee on Ways and Means.
To begin the process, I engaged in a colloquy with Senate Ways and Means Committee Chair Michael Rodrigues about the mechanics of the budget document, that appropriate $61.33 billion.
