Fiscal Year 2026 Budget Debate: Recap
Last night, the Massachusetts State Senate completed deliberations on its version of the FY26 budget, which included 1,058 amendments for consideration.
I was pleased to advocate for several important initiatives that made it into the final version of the Senate budget, including:
🔹 Increasing transparency through quasi-public payroll reporting
🔹 Supporting maternal health with a new mobile app
🔹 Funding patrols to protect the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale
🔹 Bolstering regional EMS services that are vital to our communities
🔹 Strengthening background checks to keep children in daycares safe
I am committed to continuing advocating in order to ensure these priorities are reflected in the final budget.
