Healey proclaims September as Emergency Preparedness Month
Governor Maura Healey has proclaimed September 2024 to be
Emergency Preparedness Month to highlight the importance of emergency
preparedness and to encourage planning for disasters and other types of
emergencies.
“Massachusetts is strong, resilient and ready for anything
that gets thrown at us. We understand that preparedness is a responsibility
that we all share. That’s why I prepare,” said Governor Healey.
Over the next several weeks, MEMA, Massachusetts Department
of Public Health and other emergency management partners will share important
tips and information about how you and your family can stay safe during
disasters and emergencies.
