Newburyport 15th annual Field of Honor presentation
This past Sunday, I attended the incredibly moving ceremony
at the 15th annual Field of Honor presented by The Exchange Club of Greater
Newburyport on the Bartlet Mall.
Keynote speaker, Dudley Farquhar, a Vietnam veteran,
addressed the crowd about the issue of POWs and MIAs. Dudley is a relentless supporter of our
current troops abroad with his care packages of foodstuffs, clothing items and
board games.
The Field of Honor is a display of hundreds of American
Flags paying tribute to our Veterans, Service Men and Women, First Responders
and Personal Heros. These events serve to educate the community about heroes
and causes that are important to the American way of life.
