Last week on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, An Act promoting access to midwifery care and out-of-hospital birth options (H.4999), also known as the Maternal Health Bill, was signed into law by Governor Maura Healey.

One of my amendments that was adopted in the Senate version (S.2899) was included in the final conference committee report that has now become law.
