Hellcat Wildlife Observation Trail Ribbon Cutting

Exciting news for the public, the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge celebrated the opening of a new 100% ADA accessible boardwalk for the public to come and enjoy the Hellcat Wildlife Observation Trail at Plum Island. The boardwalk will allow families with strollers, those using wheelchairs, who have never before had the opportunity to use this area before, to access one of the best spots to observe migratory birds in the region.

Although our ceremony was small, due to COVID safety regulations, the boardwalk represents a major new opportunity for people to connect with this very special place. I thank the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's Parker River National Wildlife Refuge program for inviting me to say a few words and for their outstanding accomplishment.
