Mental Health Parity Bill Focus of Senate Debate Today
Throughout my tenure in the Massachusetts legislature, I have worked to keep health policy at the highest levels of our attention and action. We have today in the Senate a mental health parity bill that makes significant, reasonable, and powerful effects on ensuring that mental health is not relegated to a second tier of our healthcare system.
To elevate mental health to its rightful place we need expanded accessibility, coverage that is affordable with a coordination of care that integrates mental health supports so that patients get the right treatment at the right place and time.
