Town of Essex Dredge Project Meeting Update 7.8.24
Here are some updates:
▶️ The US Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) component of the project is currently scheduled to begin on October 1, 2024.
▶️ The Corps will be issuing a bid solicitation soon for the project.
▶️ State, Federal, and Town of Essex – Government officials are working with the Corps to coordinate a companion project with local marina owners to take advantage of the federal project with a companion project to ensure their continued access to sustainable water depths adjacent to their properties.
▶️ That project will need to follow closely on the completion of the Corps federal project to accomodate the regulatory window for completion of dredge work in the late winter / early spring.
