of the Senate Retail Task Force Report

Minority Leader Bruce Tarr (R-Gloucester) who co-sponsored S.2136 establishing
the retail task force released, the following statement today regarding the
release of the Senate Retail Task Force Report:
“Retailers in Massachusetts are fighting for their survival
against serious threats, and the task force has done a good job of listening to
their concerns and highlighting them in this report.
The employers in this sector bring benefits to our state and
our communities that we cannot afford to lose. Given that reality and the
compelling information documented in this report, we need to collectively find
the will and the means to take action to support them.
We must not ignore the situation and the issues presented to
us by the members of the task force in such a comprehensive way.”
