Hammond Castle Arch Rededication
Hammond Castle Museum held a special observance yesterday to mark their successful restoration of the beautiful 12th and 13th-century medieval archways that overlook the ocean. These newly restored arches flanked our 21st-century tent for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
I was pleased to present a Massachusetts State Senate citation recognizing this historic project. The Castle has so many dimensions to be shared and treasured and the stewards of the Castle are to be commended. I know that the museum was delighted to showcase the structures and to express gratitude to the Gloucester, Massachusetts Community Preservation Committee for support and funding from the Community Preservation Act.
