Statement Regarding a DCF Audit by Auditor Bump
Today I released the following
statement regarding a two-year audit of the Department of Children and Families
by Auditor Suzanne Bump:
“Today’s audit report
issued by Auditor Bump reconfirms the risks posed to vulnerable children
because of deficiencies and systematic problems at the Department of Children
and Families. Now, more than ever, it is clear that reforming this agency
needs to be a priority for the Legislature and the Administration, and the job
needs to be done in a timely and effective way.”
