Autism Awareness Month
April is Autism Awareness Month
Honored to support
Chief Francis and the Essex Police Department's recent Autism Awareness Program
fundraiser in collaboration with the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism.
April is nationally recognized as Autism Awareness Month and
affects 1 in 36 children in the United States. The Essex Police Department has
been selling and wearing autism acceptance police patches for the month of
April.
All proceeds from patch sales go toward the Flutie
Foundation's safety programs, which focus on keeping those affected by autism
protected within their communities.
