Nova Scotia Fire Relief Efforts

Gloucester and Nova Scotia have a long and strong connection. We are "sister cities" with Lunenburg and Shelburne, and our people have always been there for each other. Right now, much of Nova Scotia is battling the worst wildfires in their history.

The fires have destroyed homes, businesses, and livelihoods. Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their homes. The Province of Nova Scotia is providing further support to Nova Scotians affected by wildfires by matching every dollar donated to the Canadian Red Cross Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada Fires Appeal. With the Government of Canada making the same commitment, every $1 donated will become $3. Funds will be used to assist those most impacted and support immediate and ongoing relief and recovery efforts in the province.

If you would like to help, please consider making a donation to the Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada Fires Appeal.
