Rolling Rally To Prevent Elder Abuse

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day provides an opportunity for communities around the world to promote a better understanding of abuse and neglect of older persons by raising awareness of the cultural, social, economic, and demographic processes affecting elder abuse and neglect. Cape Ann and North Shore cities and towns are planning a set of rolling rallies with SeniorCare, local police departments, and councils on aging to raise awareness of elder abuse.

Residents are invited to grab noisemakers, decorate their cars and join these rallies:

Manchester By The Sea: Friday, June 18, at 11a.m. Meet at the parking lot behind Town Hall, 10 Central St.

Rockport: Tuesday, June 29, at noon. Meet at the Rockport High School auditorium parking lot, 24 Jerden's Lane.
