Supporting Our Cities and Towns
Among my top priorities for state spending is revenue sharing for our cities and towns and local school districts, because they perform some of the most important functions of government, such as police and fire protection and education. Thus, I believe that a major accomplishment of the FY’2013 state budget approved by the Senate last week is an increase in the major accounts that support these functions.
